The Power of Words

Here are the poems written by some fourth year students of CNSHS.

One way of expressing feelings towards someone or something is through writing. Below are some poems written by some fourth year students of CNSHS as they try to fight the struggles in their lives using pens and papers as their weapons and words as their powers.

REVELATION by Raymund M. Madayag

Each day seems so esoteric as it passes by,
Coz I always keep on thinking and wondering why
On how your sweet smile really attracts my whole being,
And how it keeps my heart throb with amazing rhythm.

So please give me this moment to be my pretty chance,
To take a closer look at you, just only for once
Although you may believe that these thing seems so silly,
It could make me feel what's the real felicity.

Putting my arms around you can never be true,
For I guess there is a man who cab be more than I do
But I know in my heart there will always be a place,
A very place for you for the rest of my days.

Earnest desire as other people might call it,
To be by your side is one of my greatest feat
Maybe you might think what I am saying is eccentric,
It does not matter coz for me it is fantastic.

Real pleasure will I felt if you recognize what I mean,
If you appreciate it, I can fly even without wings
But if you set aside this thing, keep this in your mind,
There is nothing in this world like you that I can find.

Brevity is what I need for me to know you well,
But still, I have not told you something, even just a hail
Please do trust me that my shyness is only a bit,
Just learn in later times that I can also be wit.

Earn a jolly person if you accept me as a friend,
Or have a caring one for you to be elated;
Experience the brilliance of life while we are together,
For you must know that at all times, I will leave you never.

Rebuff my feelings, please do not ever do this to me,
Because if you do, how lonesome my life would be
But if you will accept it, take it with sincerity,
You will understand later how mean you are to me.

Nonsense! For hiding admiration to this lady,
Moron! For watching your gracious acts attentively
Life has no meaning and worthless if you are not around,
Thank God for giving me someone like you that I found.

An invincible woman, that is what I should call you
As I have perceived and confirmed from a nearby view;
You stand confidently in every challenge you face,
That is why I admire you more with these God-given grace.

Lastly, I must say that you have been an inspiration
In spite of my good deeds, you are my consolation
I hope sometimes, we can get to know each other well,
We can be good companions, but no one can tell.

A PRECIOUS TREASURE by Mary Grace A. Cambaliza

You have been such a wonderful friend
A friend who can remember till the end
At times I feel you are always there to catch me
Without you I do not know what life be.

At times when you wearies, I do the same,
I give advice and say, no one is to blame.
When we were together we share each other,s problems
When others want to fight we don not bother them.

I just want you to know and always remember,
There is somebody in your life that cares.
I do not need your gifts or any honor you will give,
What I want you to do is to trust me and believe.

So in return I want to thank you,
For being there wherever I need you.
After all we have been through,
I know a friend like you is a friend so true.

ALONE by Kirstel A. Giron

With no one to accompany,
With no one to smile at,
With no one to lean on,
Or a friend to look back.

Darkness is his home,
Anger is his happiness,
Life is to be alone,
Isolated from the rest.

When he smiles, no one sees,
When he laughs no one hears
When he loves, no ones feels,
For no one to him exists.

Pity him for he lives dying,
To everything has no experience.
He hates the world more than ever,
And he will be a mystery forever.
